BUENOS AIRES – The ANSES minimum pension in September 2026 will increase following Argentina’s latest monthly adjustment. Retirees receiving the minimum benefit will see their base payment rise to ARS 428,633.20.

The increase reaches 2.11% for September. In addition, eligible minimum-pension recipients will receive the ARS 70,000 pension bonus. Therefore, their total monthly payment will reach ARS 498,633.20.

ANSES Minimum Pension Reaches ARS 428,633.20

Argentina adjusts retirement and pension benefits every month according to inflation data.

For September, the adjustment is 2.11%. The calculation reflects the inflation rate recorded in July, which stood at around 2.1%. However, the pension adjustment uses the more precise figure with two decimal places.

As a result, the minimum retirement benefit increases to ARS 428,633.20.

Meanwhile, the maximum retirement benefit rises to ARS 2,884,395.56.

These figures represent the regular benefits before any applicable pension bonus is added.

How Much Will Minimum-Pension Retirees Receive?

The final amount is especially important for retirees who receive the minimum benefit.

The base pension will be ARS 428,633.20. Moreover, a ARS 70,000 bonus will be added for eligible recipients.

Therefore, the total payment reaches:

ARS 428,633.20 + ARS 70,000 = ARS 498,633.20

The bonus has remained at ARS 70,000 for more than two years. It is paid together with the regular monthly benefit.

What Happens to Retirees Earning More Than the Minimum?

The pension bonus also affects some retirees whose regular payments are above the minimum.

However, they do not necessarily receive the full ARS 70,000.

Instead, the bonus decreases proportionally until the combined payment reaches the maximum threshold of ARS 498,633.20.

For example, a retiree whose regular pension is slightly above the minimum may receive a smaller bonus.

On the other hand, people with substantially higher pensions will not receive this additional payment.

PUAM Also Increases in September

The September adjustment also changes other ANSES benefits.

The Universal Pension for Older Adults (PUAM) rises to ARS 342,906.55. Eligible recipients can also receive the ARS 70,000 bonus.

Therefore, the total PUAM payment reaches ARS 412,906.55.

Meanwhile, non-contributory pensions for old age or disability rise to ARS 300,043.23.

After adding the ARS 70,000 bonus, eligible beneficiaries can receive ARS 370,043.23 in total.

Why Are ANSES Pensions Increasing?

The increase comes from Argentina’s monthly pension adjustment mechanism.

Under the current system, benefits are updated according to inflation. However, there is a lag between the inflation measurement and the month when the adjustment takes effect.

Consequently, the September increase reflects July inflation.

This mechanism aims to prevent retirement benefits from remaining unchanged for long periods while consumer prices rise.

Moreover, the adjustment applies to several benefits administered by ANSES.

September 2026 Pension Amounts

The confirmed September amounts are straightforward.

The minimum retirement benefit will be ARS 428,633.20, while the maximum reaches ARS 2,884,395.56.

PUAM recipients will receive a base benefit of ARS 342,906.55. Meanwhile, qualifying non-contributory pensions will reach ARS 300,043.23.

For minimum-pension recipients, however, the ARS 70,000 bonus makes a significant difference.

Their total payment rises to ARS 498,633.20.

Therefore, retirees should distinguish between the official minimum pension and the final amount received after the bonus.

What Retirees Should Know for September

The ANSES minimum pension in September 2026 is officially set at ARS 428,633.20 before the additional bonus.

Eligible minimum-pension retirees will receive another ARS 70,000. As a result, their total payment will reach ARS 498,633.20.

Meanwhile, other pension categories will also reflect the 2.11% monthly increase.

The exact payment date will depend on the ANSES calendar and, as usual, the beneficiary’s DNI number.
